Creating “Your Backstory” app page for Manager and Sales Rep Components

Overview

It’s recommended to create a new app page called “Your Backstory” as a place to put the components that are relevant for your Sales Managers, Leaders, and Reps.

Installation steps

1. From the “Home” tab in Salesforce click on the gear icon in the upper right and select “Edit Page”

2. This will take you to the Lightning App Builder, from here you will select on “Pages” from the top and select “+ New Page” to kickoff the creation of a new app page for “Your Backstory”.

3. Make sure that “App Page” is selected and click “Next”.

4. Label the page “Your Backstory” and click “Next”.

5. Select “One Region” and click “Next”.

6. Now drag and drop the appropriate Backstory components to the page based on your ideal configuration. See the sections for “Deal Room / My Performance / Team Performance”.

7. After setting up the component and visibility of the page click “Save”.

8. You will then be prompted to activate the page to make it visible to your target users.

9. Ensure to select “Activate for All Users”.

10. Add to the appropriate Lightning Apps that are commonly used by the target users and click “Add page to app”. Drag the “Your Backstory” page to the appropriate place in the Lightning App so that it is easily accessible to your users. If the “Your Backstory” page is to low in the list it may not be easy for your users to find.

11. Click Save.
