The Web Data Connector (WDC) - Tableau functionality enables you to connect to our REST APIs. When you use a web data connector, Tableau creates an extract of the data that the connector accesses.
With this enabled, you will be able to:
Bring unique insights, such as engagement levels across accounts, opportunities, or contacts, into GTM systems.
Set up new BI dashboards with new Tableau connectors and templates within minutes.
Steps to connect
Generate a key via the API Key Management page. Please note that only Backstory Admins can access this page.
Navigate to Tableau sources and click on Web Data Connector.
Paste the following URL: https://api.people.ai/connectors/tableau/
Enter your credentials.
Click submit, and data load tables will populate on the left.
Things to consider
The web data connector is a Tableau-only feature at the moment; other BI tools may be added in the future.
Other tools and data warehouses can connect via direct API integration.
While the data connector is in beta, minor schema changes may take place.
