Backstory’s new Engagement Dashboards enable users to easily build complex, completely customizable visualizations. Also included out of the box are several pre-built dashboards that you can jump right into or use as starting points for further customization.
Note: If your dashboard is blank, verify that the applied filters are suitable for you and your team (e.g., ensure your team owns Accounts/Opportunities).
What’s Available Out of the Box
By default, you’ll see two pre-built dashboards for each object (Account, Opportunity, and Team). These can be found via the left-most navigation panel.
Pre-built dashboards can be identified by the "Created by Backstory" label found under the dashboard’s title.
Account
My Team's Accounts & Engagement
Intended for / Accessible to: Everyone
This dashboard is ideal for Sales Managers who want to see, at a glance, where activity is being allocated across their reps' accounts. Click into the activity cells to see the who and when of each activity.
This dashboard is intended for managers and reps who are labeled as Account Owners.
Please note that this dashboard features a relative filter, which means it will only show the direct team and subteam(s) reporting to you within your team hierarchy. To adjust this, edit the scope filter found within the filter button and save it.
Account Engagement Dashboard Example
Intended for / Accessible to: Administrators
This dashboard is designed to show not only activities across all Accounts, but the Accounts sorted by their Engagement Levels as well, from highest to lowest.
Use this dashboard to understand which Accounts are being engaged the most and least, and whether this engagement makes sense given their Opportunities, ARR, and other relevant factors.
Opportunity
My Team's Current Quarter Pipeline & Engagement
Intended for / Accessible to: Everyone
This dashboard fully employs the power of grouping. Here, you can easily view your reps' opportunities, grouped by stage. Also included are key data points, such as opportunity values, close dates, Engagement Levels, and related activities.
This is your one-stop shop for evaluating whether or not your reps’ deals are being engaged. This dashboard is intended for managers and reps who are labeled as Opportunity Owners.

This dashboard is designed for administrators to view, similar to the one above, how all open Opportunities closing this quarter are being engaged.

My Team's Engagement
Intended for / Accessible to: Everyone
Team Dashboards are ideal for understanding how your team(s) allocate their time. The Team visualizes all activity, regardless of where it matches. This means you can see activity with Opportunities, Accounts, Leads, partners, and more, all in one place!

Intended for / Accessible to: Administrators
This view, accessible to Backstory administrators, provides a bird's-eye view of activity taking place across the organization. Use the filter button to narrow down the view to specific teams, or simply scroll through to view all teams and users.
