Backstory is architected to sync your GTM team’s activities to Salesforce, which was previously contingent on all Backstory users having fully licensed Salesforce accounts. Now, Non-Salesforce User Activity Sync enables Backstory to also provide full visibility into your teams’ activities, even if they do not have standard Salesforce user licenses.

Backstory recognizes that all activities being synced to Salesforce require an Activity.Owner and Contact.Owner. In the case that an activity belongs to a Backstory user who is not a standard Salesforce-licensed user, the activity can still be synced to Salesforce.

If Non-Salesforce User Sync is enabled, such activities and contacts are automatically attributed to your integration user as the Activity.Owner and Contact.Owner and then synced to Salesforce in the same manner as Backstory users with Salesforce integration.
