Backstory recognizes how important virtual meetings are to your day-to-day business processes. Knowing when these meetings occur, who attended, and the meeting topic is paramount to ensuring you close your deals.
The Backstory integration with Webex is built to bring these details to your fingertips!
How it Works
Backstory will only ingest meetings when they belong to a user with intake turned on. If you do not want meetings to be brought into the application, ensure the user belongs to a Configuration Profile with intake off. Backstory also only ingests scheduled meetings, meaning any meeting not saved in a calendar will not be ingested.
Installation and Setup
Log into Backstory as an administrator.
Click the grid icon in the top left corner.
Select Admin Panel.
In the left navigation menu under Data Ingestion, click Webex.
Click on the Authorize Webex button.
Enter your login information. Review the permissions being granted and click the Accept button once you have done so.
Now, if you want to turn on the Webex integration, enable intake for the Configuration Profiles that contain users for whom you want to enable it.
Note: Transcripts will only be ingested from the activation date onwards. Any prior information will not be brought over.
Uninstallation
Log into Backstory as an administrator.
Click the grid icon in the top left corner.
Select Admin Panel.
In the left navigation menu under Data Ingestion, click Webex.
Click the Disable Webex button. A pop-up will appear, asking to confirm your intention to disable the integration.
Click the Disable Webex button again to confirm and uninstall.
Things to Consider
We will not ingest the summary for meetings that have not passed sensitivity checks, such as a personal email address or sensitive content in a meeting.
If a user has intake disabled, we will not process their transcripts.
